King Jack and the Dragon | Las Vegas, Nevada
When you are a photographer, you usually grab your kids or husband and force them to be your model. I'm afraid my poor little Jack has to deal with the camera constantly being in his face. Which has resulted in him saying 'cheese' anytime he sees a flash, or even a spotlight. He definitely has 'child of a photographer syndrome!'
Before we found out that we were having a boy, my husband and I were browsing Barns & Noble, and I found this amazing book. 'King Jack and the Dragon.' I begged Wesley to get it, but he kept insisting that we wait to find out what we were having. Although, from the second I found out I was pregnant, I knew he was a boy, and that his name was going to be Jack. Not Jackson, just Jack. Well, a few weeks when we found out our precious baby was going to be Jack Harrison, you better believe I got that book!
We used the book in our maternity photos (By Melanie Gould Photography,) and in Jack's newborn pictures (Sweet Orange Photography.) The plan was to use it at all of his birthday pictures, until he was old enough to protest, haha. But of course when a December baby, it was freezing around his birthday, and it kept getting postponed. We FINALLY did them when he turned 18 months!
Our King Jack loved this session, he ran around swinging the sword, screaming as he tried to get us! I love photographing kids, and watching where their imagination takes us! Their love for adventure and magic is inspiring. I wish we would all see the world through the eyes of a child! Everything would be bigger, adventures would be waiting around every corner, and everyone would be your friend.
I hope everyone has an amazing weekend!
